We started the weekend with some of yall coming out and setting up your swap meet space or just to camp and hang out with friends. We had a beautiful evening, until around 10pm when the cold front came through and we started having some strong gusts of wind!
.
Sunday morning came around with a beautiful sunrise as we welcomed everyone to the track. Unfortunately, we once again couldn’t have racing again, but they are in the final stretch of getting the top end of the track tidied up and will be ready for their 2024 season of racing.
.
The swap meet was hopping with plenty of goods for sale. We hope you were able to sell a bunch of parts or find needed stuff for your ride.
.
The VWs didn’t disappoint either! We had over 200 in our show area. From our classic buses, daily drivers, rails, Campers and of course the Beetle. Plus many of the newer generations on hand as well.
.
Thank you to everyone who dressed up for the costume contest, dressed up their VW, or just handed out candy. This was our first time doing that, and I know we had a few hiccups, but if you enjoyed it, we can do it again next fall.
.
We hope you had a great time, that is what it is all about. Our next event will be The Winter Volksfest & Eurofest indoor event at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh on Feb 24/25, 2024. We hope to see you there!
