We headed out to NC, once again, but this time to Fontana Village for our first Wookie in the Woods. This event is for all Golf R32/R enthusiasts and friends. These folks put on an awesome event, or I should say driving experience and relaxation time.

Weather didn’t look the greatest for the weekend, but that didn’t stop Enthusiasts from all over over the USA & Canada from driving to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
From MK4 R32s to the newest MK8 R, plus 24 colorful Spectrums in attendance. Everyone got a taste a wintery driving experience on the popular Tail of the Dragon. Now mind you, temperatures were just right, so it was not sticking. But we all wished it was a little warmer!

One of the biggest things they do is a fundraiser for the Blount County Rescue Squad. They have been doing this for years and it helps this volunteer fire/rescue squad keep things going for the tail of the dragon. This year they included an Autism program in it as well. How does this happen, well they have wonderful sponsors that donate lots of goods to be raffled off at the event. This is something everyone looks forward to. Proud to say we made it home with a few of them raffles too.
